The Cannabis Care Guide app lists products and tips
Cannabis growers now have a PestFreePot app that makes it easier to find pesticides that are legal for use on commercial crops in Washington State. The app lists pesticides that meet Washington State Department of Agriculture criteria for Cannabis production.
This app can be purchased for Apple phones (Android is being worked on and should be available soon) for $3.99 under PestFreePot.

“It’s a challenge to get thru label information, we hope this app helps growers learn more about growing without chemicals and choose legal products when they chose to use them,” explained Lisa Niehaus, technical advisor for iGottaQ.
“There is a lot we don’t know about pesticides and Cannabis use. It’s always safer to grow without chemicals – for growers, their workers, customers and the environment.
“We welcome feedback from growers, they are the experts and are seeing problems up close,” said Niehaus.
Even growers using organic practices may turn to chemical methods to deal with pests and plant problems. Growers can now find products legal to use and approved for use on organic agriculture. The PestFreePot app flags products with green, yellow or red leaves. The green leaf shows those that appear on two organic approval lists. Yellow leaves are listed on at least one organic approval list and red leaves are legal but not listed for organic use. All the products have been reviewed by the EPA for use on general crops and are registered by both the EPA and WSDA.
