Q1: What do you know about our organization? What makes our mission meaningful to you? Why are you interested in committing your time and energy to us?
A: The Cannabis Alliance in my opinion, is the most respected alliance in the cannabis industry that advocates for the quality of cannabis to be sustained during all this transition in the industry while maintaining a passion for the plant as well as continuing cannabis education. This mission reflects the core values that I have personally in the importance of keeping the cannabis plant "pure" and continuing education to communities outside of the cannabis industry.
Q2: What do you think are the characteristics of a great board member?
A: I am approachable, friendly, and empathetic. I am an active listener and have a true passion for the plant. I easily can connect to others and inspire others to educate themselves on cannabis and its medicinal benefits.
Q3: Do you have prior board leadership experience? If so, what and when?
A: In high school, I was a part of a Diversity Board for students that we experiencing bullying because of differences from a range of issues like race, sexuality, and religion.
Q4: What specific skills, connections, resources, and expertise do you have to offer and are willing to use on the behalf of the organization?
A: Being that I am a purchasing manager at a cannabis shop, it really allows me to connect with both the farm side and the retailer side. It has allowed me to make many connections to better my career and the tools I am trying to provide to this industry.
Q6: Do you have any worries or concerns about joining the board?
Q7: Do you have personal aspirations that could be enhanced by board service?
A: Your organization is assisting me already in getting my educational information out to the purchasing managers of the state by hosting a purchasing manager's seminar.
Q8: What is your motivation of being involved in the cannabis industry?
A: To change the view of cannabis in society and working towards equality in many areas in America from proper healthcare options to being able to smoke in public like a tobacco user would. Basically killing the cannabis taboo with persistence and education.
Q9: What professional or personal constraints on your time or service might you anticipate? What kind of autonomy do you have over your calendar?
A: I work 4 10s at my current position. Mon-Thurs 9-7. My schedule can be accommodating to this organization.
